Chandran A — Managing Director

Chandran leads TEK Design Training Services with deep, practitioner-level experience across Tekla Structures, steel detailing, and concrete BIM workflows. TEK Design is an authorized Tekla Training Centre based in Chennai, India. Our mission is simple: help engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams confidently use Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, and Tekla Tedds on real-world projects — from their very first model to advanced certification.

Our courses are designed and delivered by industry-experienced Tekla professionals who have worked on heavy industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, and commercial steel projects. Every program is structured around hands-on labs, project files, and shop-floor realities so that what you learn in class translates directly into what your employer needs on day one.

Whether you are a fresh graduate, a working detailer looking to formalize your skills, or a fabrication / EPC team upskilling its workforce, our classroom (Chennai), live online, and on-site corporate programs are engineered to fit your goals, your schedule, and your project timelines.

Purpose

Mission & Vision

Mission

To deliver structured, project-based Tekla training that turns engineers and detailers into confident, fabrication-ready professionals.

Vision

To be South India's most trusted Tekla learning partner — the place where steel detailers, concrete detailers, and structural designers come to build careers, not just collect certificates.

What we stand for

Our Core Values

The principles that guide every drawing, model and analysis we deliver.

Integrity

We are honest about what each course will and will not give you. Realistic timelines, realistic outcomes, and a learning environment built on trust.

Innovation

Our curriculum stays close to how Tekla is actually used today — parametric components, multi-discipline coordination, and modern BIM workflows.

Collaboration

We learn the way the industry works — in cohorts, with mentors, on shared models. Your peer group becomes your network long after the course ends.

Excellence

Models, drawings and BBS are reviewed against industry checklists, so what you produce in our labs is the same quality your employer expects from you.
